Challenge created by Snarky Witch
Objective

Getting Started

-
Make one young adult Sim and one female, unspayed cat or dog. The Sim’s traits, appearance, gender customization, and aspiration don’t matter. They’re only there to look after the pet and encourage her to mate. The pets are the stars of this optional challenge. The cat or dog may have any traits you wish. She can be purebred or a mixed breed and have any visual appearance you’d like. Go wild in paint mode if you want to.
-
You may use the in-game personality quiz to determine your Sim’s career, traits, skills, and starting funds if you like. You may also opt out of this option if you prefer.
-
Move your Sim and furry matriarch into any lot they can afford in any world you like. Lots from the Gallery are fine as long as they can be purchased with starting funds. The Cat/Dog Hangout and Breeding Ground traits are highly recommended but not mandatory.
-
Once your household is moved in and set up, have your Sim befriend a male cat or dog in order to adopt him. He will be the donor for your matriarch. Have your Sim encourage your matriarch and your donor to mate.
-
Once you receive the notification that your matriarch is expecting a litter, you must move out the donor. This can be done by using the phone to put him up for adoption or, if that tugs a little too hard on your heartstrings, by moving him in with another family via the Household Management tab in Manage Worlds.
-
Continue having kittens or puppies in this manner by having your Sim befriend and adopt stray males to mate with your female, then moving them out.

Rules

-
Aging must be on and set to normal for your active household. Auto-Aging for NPCs is encouraged so the game will keep spawning stray animals for your matriarch to mate with.
-
No mods that give you an unfair advantage over other players. Mods that allow you to overstuff your household are definitely not allowed.
-
No cheats! The only exceptions are bb.moveobjects on for creative building purposes and cheating to resolve glitches.
-
Just like a traditional 100 Baby Challenge, once a donor has impregnated your matriarch, he cannot be used for more offspring.
-
Only one donor can be in the household at a time. You can’t move in several at once to line them up, but your Sim may befriend several at once so they are ready to be adopted when your matriarch is ready to have another litter.
-
Kittens and puppies cannot be sold. You must wait for them to age up naturally on a normal lifespan. Once a kitten or puppy becomes an adult, they can be moved out of the house via the phone or Household Management in order to make room for more litters.
-
When your matriarch becomes an elder, her most recently born female kitten/puppy must take over as the next matriarch, so make sure you keep one female kitten/puppy in the household when your matriarch has had her last litter.
-
If your Sim grows old and you’re worried about them dying, you may have them adopt a child to continue looking after the pets. You may also use a Potion of Youth if your Sim is able to purchase it without cheats.
-
You may not encourage your matriarch to mate if she is sick. You must take her to the vet and choose the most expensive treatment. She’s having a lot of babies, so be responsible and take good care of her!
-
Pets cannot be fed age up or age down treats. You may not feed them any treats that will make them sick. You may feed your pets wellness treats and take them to the vet for preventative shots in order to prevent illness.
-
Pets don’t have family trees, so it’s strongly recommended that you keep track yourself. The Plum Tree App is a great tool for creating detailed family trees, but whatever method works for you is fine as long as you are keeping track of the kittens/puppies and generations.
-
Your Sim may bring money into the household and make improvements to the house in order to support your pets in any way you wish. Again, the Sim is just there to look after the animals. The challenge isn’t really about them.
100 Pets Challenge
Give birth to 100 kittens or puppies in as few generations as possible. The challenge ends as soon as the 100th kitten or puppy is born or if you fail the challenge for breaking rules.
