Objective

-
Create a single Sim living alone in a household with a “Wolf Pack” of six dogs and one evil raccoon that constantly tries to ruin everything. Your Sim must live off the land on the island in Brindleton Bay, earning their money through collecting, fishing, gardening, and sending their dogs to hunt.
-
The challenge ends when your Sim achieves their goal of building a home worth 50,000 simoleons on the island or when the raccoon dies.
-
Here’s the twist: the evil raccoon is the timer for the challenge. Once it dies the challenge is over. You play on short lifespan and you can set the difficulty of the challenge for yourself by setting the age of the raccoon. It is recommended that you start with an elder raccoon to make for a more difficult challenge. Starting with an adult raccoon will give you more time and therefore will make the challenge easier. Be wary: the raccoon’s actual age is a mystery. You can’t see how many days left until it dies.
-
The raccoon doesn’t really do anything other than make your life miserable. It’s just here to ruin everything. It kinda sucks.

Setup

-
Create a single Sim with the Dog Lover trait and Friend of the Animals aspiration. The other traits are up to you to decide, but Loner and Loves Outdoors are recommended.
-
Create six dogs. The dogs can be of any breed of your choosing, but they all must have the “Hunter” trait. The other traits are up to you to decide.
-
Create one evil raccoon that has the territorial, aloof, and mischievous traits.
-
Move your Sim onto “Deadgrass Discoveries” (the museum lot on the island in Brindleton Bay). You will need to bulldoze this lot and change the lot type from “Museum” to “Residential” before you can live on it.
-
Use the “money” cheat to change your Sim’s funds to 2000 simoleons. Type “testingcheats on” and then “money 2000”. You only have this much money and an empty lot to start out with. Use it wisely.

Basic Rules

-
You must live off the land. You can earn money solely through sending your dogs to hunt, fishing, and scavenging for collectibles around the island.
-
You should earn most of your money through your pets. Hunting is the best way to do this. The other options are just good supplements.
-
You must play on short lifespan
-
Your Sim must not have a career.
-
You must not leave the island until the challenge is completed.
-
The only exception to that rule is to leave the island to take your pets to the vet if necessary. Except the raccoon. You can’t take the raccoon to the vet. We hate the raccoon. Raccoon can die.
-
You are allowed to socialize and build relationships with other Sims, but your main priority is your pets.
-
Cheats are strictly forbidden. Resetting your Sim if necessary is the only exception.

Pro Tips

-
There’s a grill and a picnic table on the island. You don’t need to buy a kitchen straight away.
-
In need of some fun? Playing with your dogs gets the need up very quickly.
-
Some of the items that your dogs will find will be sent to your household inventory
and not your Sim’s inventory. Make sure to check there!
-
Dogs can find some pretty great things by hunting. They’ll get progressively better at it as
they build the secret skill and will start bringing you more valuable items.
